Ridin' the third wave of GTA4

So like about 80% of the peolpe who bought GTA on it's release, i powered through it in a couple of days to finish the story. Once that was done i tried the multiplayer, which failed drastically being a PS3 owner, and the offline game rolled on for a few more days before i got bored. This was the first time i'd gotten bored of a GTA game in under 8 or 9 months, or in the case of GTA3, 7 years. I then went back to uni and didn't play it again for about a month. Upon returning home for summer i thought i'd give gta another go and began the missions again, i got to about 2/3 of the way through the game before MGS4 came out, and needless to say GTA was shoved into the pile of games for a few weeks.

But then MGS became a bit dull after 5 or 6 playthroughs and the online experience felt like bending over and receiving every players "solid snake" repeatedly, and painfully without any chance of me standing vertical again. So I thought i'd go back to GTA.

And there it was, something felt AWESOME. I can't really put my finger on it but it felt like i was returning to a place that i'd been missing without even realising. I picked up where my second playthrough left off and made all the opposite decisions to first time. Since finishing it i've just been messing around in Liberty City for hours and hours, not doing much cos i'm not into the 100% thing really, so just causing havoc around the city. It's showing no signs of getting boring any time soon, and the multiplayers fucked again whihc doesn't seem to bother me at all.

So for all those people who are all up on hatin' GTA4, i'd say give it a month or 2 and you may well be craving some Liberty City action all over again.
