Flog again.

Well i've decided to coin a lame word; Flog. I seem to be writing a lot about films rather than games in this blog, so i'm gonna put the word "flog" in each of the titles, so those interested can read, and those who aren't can ignore, simple as that. Shame i couldn't think of a better word...(ideas welcome)

So tonight Flightplan was on TV, started to watch it with the girlfriend, then had to leave to come home, but i resumed watching it upon return, so if these comments are unfair that may be cos i missed 6-7 minutes of sheer cinematic brilliance whilst driving home.

I actually enjoyed the film, a lot more than i thought, I think it's becuase of the low expectations all the reviews/disscusions had put into me. It was enjoyable, i didn't really find myself getting bored, whihc i thought i would, especially when the premise is about a confused woman on a plane for 2 hours.
It's in this premise where i think the film fails. Once you hear the film is about a woman on a plane who loses her daughter, but no-one on the plane has any recollection of seeing her, an idea is immediately placed in your head; "there's going to be a twist". This was the mindset i held whilst watching the film, so becuase of this, i never once let myself get sucked into the film. Whenever anyone gave a shifty look (which was seemingly everyone), i would think "this is what the film wants me to think, so i'm not gonna make any commitments to those characters".

With that problem in mind, the film actually did a fairly good job of working itself into a fairly exciting couple of hours.

So yeh, wouldn't completely reccommend it, but if it's on TV, it's an exciting enough watch.
