Last week I made a Game Boy Advance Tier List and that was made kinda because I was hot off of beating Metroid Zero Mission and loving it! Now this week I want to make a Tier list for 2 variations of a console that is older and frankly should have been made first but I'll make it now. This one is for both the Game Boy and Game Boy Color combined! I thought about making a tier list for both consoles separately but ultimately, I decided to group them together because I played only a handful of Original Game Boy games that a Game Boy Tier List would be too small. Having the two combined I think will make for a heftier list. Again, not every heavy hitter will be on this tier list as I have yet to play a Zelda game on either system. So no Link's Awakening, Oracles of Ages or Seasons here yet. But that could be changed once I get to those and a few others games I need to play such as Kirby's Dream Land II and Wario Land 1 and 2. Anyways here is the list that I assembled for a group of consoles that are near and dear to my heart.
Oh and a few notes here:
Nicktoons Racing on Game Boy Advance is a different game than the GBC one. Nicktoons Racing on GBC is an overhead Racing game that's bad. GBA Nicktoons Racing is more like Mario Kart Super Circuit and is better.
Dexter's Lab Robot Rampage is a Dexter's Lab version of Elevator Action EX.
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer on Game Boy Color I believe was developed by Nintendo in House. I never beat the game but I looked up credits and the Executive Producer was the President of Nintendo at the time Hiroshi Yamauchi. But its pales in comparison to the Console and PC version of Episode 1 Racer which is an all-timer game.
People love the GBA Tony Hawk's for their isometric but faithful takes on the console games. But the GBC of the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater is a weird racing game where you can do tricks once in a while. Heck TJ Lavin's Ultimate BMX feels more like a Tony Hawk game than the proper Tony Hawk GBC game and that game isn't that great either.
