Final Fantasy X-2

1. Final Fantasy X-2

January 20th. The HD Remaster version. The combat in this game is real good. The rest of the game is...not.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

2. Rise of the Tomb Raider

Feb 7th. Looks AMAZING on PC, is more varied than the 2013 reboot and is better for it (and I really like that first game!).

Dark Souls

3. Dark Souls

March 21st. 1st playthrough in prep for DS3. If only I could be so grossly incandescent...

4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

May 20th. Like Uncharted 2 and *unlike* Uncharted 3, this is a good video game!

Dark Souls III

5. Dark Souls III

October 17th. Not quite the magical experience of DS1, but still a damn good game. Good bosses throughout.

Dishonored

6. Dishonored

November 5th. Still not sold on the Chaos system and how it draws a hard line between lethal/nonlethal approaches & their consequences, but hopefully 2 can expand on those ideas.

Abzû

7. Abzû

November 6th. Even though I heard all of the comparisons, I was still not expecting this to elicit so many of the same emotions as Journey.

Final Fantasy XV

8. Final Fantasy XV

December 6th. After all these years, we get a solid open world JRPG with a ton of heart, engaging combat, and a bummer of a last act (in terms of both tone and quality). Would recommend.
