Or more specifically, the modern remake/re-release Continuum. You can get the hang of flying in about thirty minutes. You can get good at it in thirty hours. An all-timer for me with a community that continues to endure, go play.
2d Counter-strike. Did you play any of the Ska Software shooters? You will get worked, if you find a server online in 2017. But as a casual thing at a LAN, still great.
Not just UT04, the Carball mod. Do you like Rocket League? Carball is the genesis. Psyonix will probably say "Oh no we didn't see that" but it was a place winner in a Make Something Unreal contest they weren't exactly blind to. They're different games in style and scope mind, and Rocket League is better, but eleven years prior, this was soccar at its finest.
Ran on toaster ovens. Was worms with LAN play. Had the Ninja Rope in its finest form. Incredibly easy to pirate. Ergo, WWP was a LAN staple.
