Mass Effect 2

1. Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2 excels at both shooting and story-telling counter part of a light-weight RPG. No other game had me so connected to its world this year.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

2. Super Mario Galaxy 2

In my video games, Gameplay > Everything else. And that's what exactly SMG2 did. Ever changing, crazy level design helps make the game feel fresh every second. This is 3D platforming at its best.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

3. Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Battlefield Bad Company 2 offers the best online shooting experience of this year.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

4. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood is the best AC game to date. Refined gameplay, great environment, and great characters, coupled with an innovative MP makes this AC a winner.

Red Dead Redemption

5. Red Dead Redemption

A game that is better than its counter parts, Red Dead Redemption is not perfect by any means, but I'll be damned if it's not a great game.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

6. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Say what you will about Sam Fisher, this game is kick ass. Stealth gameplay at its best, right here. The deep stealth options are available for those who want the old SC experience, and the new gunplay/cover system opens the game up for more impatient ones. Also, Co-op is a blast in this game.

FIFA 11

7. FIFA 11

Video Game Football at its best. This game has so much content, you don't know where to start. Slick animation, fluid gameplay, tons of game modes, amazing graphics, all makes this game something football fans should definitely get.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

8. Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty Black Ops is still the same game you've come to expect from the series. High action, non stop roller coaster single player, with great MP components that keep you coming back for more. It is getting a bit stale though.

Just Cause 2

9. Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2 is pure mayhem. Want to hijack a plane, put C4 all over it and fly it into a base? Sure. Want to grapple onto a flaming gas tank as it takes off, and explode along-side with it mid-air? Why not? Any game that gives you that amount of freedom in how to blow stuff up is a good game.

Blur

10. Blur

Blur is probably the best online racing game this year. Offering 20 players extreme powered up racing with no lag is something that is held precious in my heart. Call it grown ups Mario Kart, or whatever, I call it, awesome.
