Best of 2022

I didn't play too many new games in 2022, but did manage to play 91 games and finished most of them. I got a Steam Deck in May an managed to play 10 games on it. That number will surely increase in 2023 since the Steam Deck is pretty awesome and hyper convenient.

Regrets and Honorable Mentions:

Regrettably Not Played:

1. Chained Echoes - This looks gorgeous. I probably would've loved it. I just wasn't ready for a 32 hour RPG at the end of the year. Really wondering how this will shape up against Sea of Stars once that's out.
2. Horizon Forbidden West - I've had this since launch, but never found the time to play it. I'm sure it's wonderful and I'll get to it soon enough.
3. Neon White - Another game I know I would have loved given how much I love to go fast and shoot things with accuracy with a mouse.
4. Rogue Legacy 2 - Even though I didn't play this in 2022, I did pick back up Rogue Legacy and cleaned up the remaining trophies in it. Helluva series, I'm sure 2 is awesome.
5. Sifu - Yet another game that would've easily made my top 10. I was just too damn busy cleaning up old trophies to get to it. The combat looks utterly satisfying.

Honorable Mention:

Honestly nothing really to note here. I had a hard time building a top 10 list this year since I didn't play that many new releases. Maybe Grounded should be on this list. It was pretty mid, but I played it with friends, which made the experience more enjoyable. The thirst, hunger, weapon degradation management really took the wind of my sails. I didn't realize until way late in the game that you could turn all that stuff off and just have fun.
