I was a huge fan of the first Mass Effect when it was released, looking past it's glaring flaws to see the amazing stroyline and universe full of potential that lay underneath the clunky gameplay. In Mass Effect 2 Bioware deliver on this potential and then some. Fleshing out what I believe to be one of the greatest sci-fi universes ever created and filling it with intresting missions and amazing characters. Add one of the best stories in the industry and gameplay which stands, almost, as strong as the story and Mass Effect 2 is easily my Game of the year for 2010.
With Reach, Bungie promised to deliver the best Halo game they'd ever created, their swansong to the series. While some may prefer Halo 3 the new features, such as armour abilities, add a whole new dimension to the experience making Reach feel familiar and new at the same time. A must have for any first-person shooter fan.
When Black Ops came out I was extremely sceptical of not only Treyarch's ability but Call of Duty's ability to bring me back in after the last few iterations in the series. Black Op's doesn't really deviate to much from the, by now, well established Call of Duy formula but they do more to try and change the experience since COD 4 and have pulled me back into Call of Duty's addictive multiplayer space.
