Best of 2014

I played and liked more than 5 games this year, but not quite 10, so this will be a Top 5.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

1. Dragon Age: Inquisition

As someone who loves Bioware games, Inquisition is everything I could have asked for, and more. It's good to have a Bioware game that I feel I can call "great" without reservation. It's been a while.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

2. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Glad to see Monolith's return to AAA turned out so well. Wish the story was a bit better, but its near perfect gameplay more than make up for it.

Titanfall

3. Titanfall

An excellent debut for Respawn. I hope they learn from it and make their Assassin's Creed 2 to Titanfall's Assassin's Creed 1.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

4. Wolfenstein: The New Order

Probably the most surprising game of 2014. I was pretty apathetic about it until reading Alex's review. Aside from being a fun shooter, Wolfenstein also has a lot of heart.

Marvel Heroes Omega

5. Marvel Heroes Omega

Started playing based on Jeff's recommendation and was immediately hooked. It was a good loot game to play after Destiny was, well.... Destiny.
