Finally got around to purchasing a 360 system for myself around the end of December this past year. This game was one of the first purchases I decided to make. This year was the first time I actually got to play this game all the way though. Back when I was younger, a good ten years ago or so, I would play this game at my friends house off and on when I would visit. But since I never owned an N64 for myself I never really got far into the game. Though I did not own the game or system, this game has always remained highly memorable to me. I am glad to have finally got to see it in it's entirety.
This might sound odd to basically any gamer out there. But you could technically say that Deadly Premonition was my introduction into the action/survival horror genre of games. Yes that is right, I have never play any Resident Evil, Silent Hill...and uhh...yeah, as you can tell I can really only name a couple of the games in that genre. Anyways as low budget and sometimes bad that this game could be, the story really pulled me in. I really have to say I was "EASILY" able to look past the bad gameplay because I believe the story was that good. I believe I will now have to check out other games in this genre.
