As a baseline I love Spidey but the amazing traversal mechanics, expanded gameplay variety, incredible technical achievement (the first time I web-catapulted across NYC my jaw hit the ground), and solid story made this a game a one of a kind hit for me.

I need more time, I want to play BG3 every night before bed. Given the time to explore and bask in the story I could see this retroactively becoming my #1 of 2023.

I fell off of Dave the Diver after it introduced me to the fifty or sixtieth new mini-game mechanic (which happened to coincide with Spider-Man 2 stealing away my attention). I loved this game, it felt almost perfect… but it’s just a bit too much game for its own good.
