For me, a good soundtrack can turn a great game into an amazing game or even a terrible game into something bearable. It's a shame that soundtracks for games tend to be underappreciated and sometimes treated as on the periphery of the whole experience when there's some fantastic stuff being put out.

I'm a sucker for choral arrangements over strings. 'Earth' and 'Ezio's Family' amongst others from an amazing soundtrack. Jesper Kyd is a hideously underrated part of AC. Revelations had an excellent soundtrack as well, particularly the main theme, 'Labored and Lost' and 'Scheduled for Deletion'
