Ridiculous local multiplayer, very very entertaining with 4 players and included a co-op mode. Best multiplayer PS2 launch title by far.
This was a stupid local multiplayer brawler with a great sense of style and entertaining events. Wish they'd bring it back.
Possibly my most played online multiplayer game, I was fucking awesome at this game and won the vast majority of races. We also played clan matches on this title and had a statistic of 15W - 0L.
I played this with my team for many months, together and against other clans competitively. Hosted a number of matches on a dedicated server then played with 15 other players on my other Xbox. The best shooter on Xbox.
First title to have the Mercs vs. Spies gameplay, it was very different from everything else out there and incredible fun in multiplayer. I even played some matches competitively and it held up well.
Weeks of my life were devoted to playing this game with friends using the matchmaking system, and in clan matches and private mess-around sessions.
