Super Mario Galaxy 2

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2

I love me some platformers, and Super Mario Galaxy was my GotY for 2007. I figure that's all that needs to be said.

2. BioShock 2

BioShock is the best FPS I've ever played. Not so much for its shooting or action packed sequences, but rather the thick atmosphere, characters, and sharp writing, though I'm a little weary of them trying to turn the sequel into a much more action heavy with a Big Daddy and multiplayer.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

3. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

Love the art style, humor, and the amazing characters. First game was a big surprise for me and it looks like everything that was wrong with the first game was either removed or fixed.

Dead Rising 2

4. Dead Rising 2

This is practically the perfect sandbox game. The freedom to kill a zombie how you want, with pretty much anything that isn't bolted to the floor makes for good fun.

Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver

5. Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver

I can't wait to re-live my childhood. As far as I'm concerned, Pokemon was at its best with Silver and Gold though that could just be the nostalgia talking.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

6. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

I used to be a big Splinter Cell fan, though the series kind of lost me in its transition into next gen (now current gen, I guess). First time in a while I've been excited to play one so I'm looking forward to sneaking around in the shadows again.

Metroid: Other M

7. Metroid: Other M

The Metroid Prime games are my favorite trilogy, ever. While Other M doesn't look like it will be anything like those games, it is seeming like a return to 2D Metroid. If we knew more about the game apart from just a (really awesome) trailer this would probably be higher up on the list. Who knows, Team Ninja could completely screw it up.

Super Meat Boy

8. Super Meat Boy

Indie developers are always a great source of neat and innovative designs and Super Meat Boy just looks like a really fast and challenging quirky platformer.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

9. Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Modern Warfare 2 was a bit of a disappointment and Battlefield looks like it's just going to be Battlefield, which is awesome. Everything I've seen of it so far has got me hyped.

Dementium II

10. Dementium II

The first Dementium managed to create a great creepy atmosphere, and it had really smooth shooting and inventive bosses. Then you consider that it was on the DS which makes it pretty amazing.
