This year saw the amount of games that I thought worthy of the title of my best of 2012 to be a little too big for the standard 10 list. I didn't want them to sit by the sidelines, so my honorable mentions for 2012 are the following games: Hotline Miami, Darkness 2, Forza Horizon, Alan Wake American Nightmare, Super Amazing Wagon Adventure. Yes, I think there are 15 games that I played that are worthy of being played by everyone.

The fun that you can have from losing it all three jumps in is amazing.
I was lukewarm on the ending, but seeing the closure of all of my teammate story lines. When I heard about the indoctrination theory I thought it was cool. When they took away that crazy theory with the free DLC, I was back to lukewarm on the ending. The multiplayer was a great addition.
I love this game so much, I consciously wait longer between episodes to prolong the experience. I finished the first four chapters in 2012 and can't wait to play the final chapter.
A simplified 2d platforming MOBA that had me hooked on PS3 and then later in the year on PC. I think I may have put the most time this year into this little gem.
For some reason this did not leave me in the borederlands like the first game. Works well solo and in a group of friends co-op.
Something did not sit entirely right with me for this game. Maybe it was the minor switches to how gameplay worked, or maybe it was the boring walk to the next warp in single player. Even still, I loved this game.
Hands-down the best stealth game to ever come out.
After waiting for this game for years, it still blew my mind. Hearing about the crazy endgame, really made me wish I had consumed that game day one. Watching the trials and tribulations during Indie Game: The Movie was a great added experience.
Same old Counter-strike! Or is it?!?
I might have to take back my comment about Awesomenauts taking up the most game time this year, I loved tapping it out to all my Rock Band songs.
