2024 Games Played

This this the 11th version of this list and might be my last. I started this project as a way to practice my game review writing, but have since lost interest in that. I'll try to keep this going this year but I won't be writing reviews for every game anymore. To review 2023, I played 47 games in which 11 games were retro/emulated. I broke my resolution to stop buying games, but I succeeded in playing more games in my Steam Backlog. Looking back, the top 5 games I played in 2023 were Final Fantasy 7, Chained Echoes, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and Mass Effect 2.

In 2024, it's the same as always. I'd like to continue playing through the Final Fantasy games starting with Final Fantasy Tactics and I'd like to continue to play through my Steam Backlog. However, I'd like to also get started on the Tales series some time this year. Trying to avoid buying new games was a failure within the first 2 weeks of 2023. So this year, I'll try to keep the game buying to 12 games or fewer. I feel that 1 new game a month is a reasonable goal. I'd also like to reduce my weekly playtime. I have been spending too much time playing games each week and I'd like to try to keep my total playtime to 20 hours or fewer.
