Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Brilliantly devised set pieces and scenarios coupled with well-acted, engaging characters, great pacing and amazing production values makes Uncharted 2 an overwhelmingly joyous experience, and my game of the year.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

2. Batman: Arkham Asylum

You are the goddamn Batman.

Assassin's Creed II

3. Assassin's Creed II

Having fancied the first game despite of the issues others had with it, I had difficulties seeing what exactly could be improved that I'd care about. Ubisoft sure showed me.

Flower

4. Flower

The combination of the soothing pace, beautiful visuals and tangible controls made flower a one of a kind type of experience. For as brief as it was it was a very pleasant moment.

Shadow Complex

5. Shadow Complex

Being my first real venture into the Metroidvania genre, Shadow Complex left quite an impression.

The Sims 3

6. The Sims 3

For those of us who find bizarre behavior curious the possibilities in The Sims 3 are endless. My sim is an aggressive hobo. Makes a living by raiding people's homes, eating their food, sleeping in their beds and breaking their stuff. When that doesn't work he lives in the museum and eats week old burnt hot dogs left on people's grills. And garbage.

Brütal Legend

7. Brütal Legend

The power of rock compelled me.

Battlefield 1943

8. Battlefield 1943

I like Battlefield. Even just a fifth of it is enough for me to put it on my top ten.

DiRT 2

9. DiRT 2

Unlike it's predecessor, DiRT2 manages to balance the line between arcade and sim brilliantly, resulting in a game that makes you feel barely in control, and occasionally actually frightened.

Forza Motorsport 3
