2011 Games I've finished in 2011.

by jacksukeru

Thought I might as well make a list to help me keep track of which games, that came out during the year, that I actually played. Might be useful for when the end of the year comes around.

Also for posterity! The ordering is of no significance at the moment.

Edit: So I didn't end up making an actual blog post, but I'm still pretty happy with the format so I'll probably make one for 2012. Either that or I'll make one that has ALL the games I played/finished throughout the year so I can pseudo review all of 'em.

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2

1. Bionic Commando Rearmed 2

Fun and pretty downloadable game that's lacking in nostalgia and reuses bosses too often. Also really average writing. Playing through it while chosing not to jump was the best choice I could have made, unfortunately one of the bosses in particular makes this almost impossible.

Stacking

2. Stacking

Fun and unique puzzle mechanic that worked most of the time. Pretty sweet artstyle too.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

3. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

Best so far this year. Frikkin' love it! Great artstyle and involving mystery.

Monster Tale

4. Monster Tale

A little disappointing towards the end. Had really generic story and characters, and I feel that there's some lost potential in the use of its mechanics, but it was pretty good otherwise.

Portal 2

5. Portal 2

Excellent first person puzzle adventure! Looking forward to replaying it already.

Mortal Kombat

6. Mortal Kombat

Fun, accessible fighting game with a story mode I really enjoyed.

Moon Diver

7. Moon Diver

Not really finished... but surprisingly fun in multiplayer. Playing it can get super repetitive though

inFamous 2

8. inFamous 2

This or Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood is my favorite open world sandbox game, not sure which. Had some pretty bad parts too.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes

9. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes

Fun, easy-to-get-into single and multiplayer game. Had a lot of fun with it. Spent many, many hours playing the multiplayer with different people.

Tales from Space: About a Blob

11. Tales from Space: About a Blob

Almost forgot about this. Easy fun, but a bit repetitive. Resets your size too often and the bosses are kinda lame, but the finale is approriately grand.
