A very awesome year, first time in a while a Souls game didn't place higher.
I wanted to put Read Only Memories and Stasis higher but I cannot lie to myself. Metal Gear Solid V was an incredible experience and I tore through it like no other game this year, sinking a hundred hours into that game in no time.

I wish there was more Metal Gear in my final Metal Gear Solid but it's hard to really complain about this game. It's close to perfect.
This was the year where I realized I enjoy point and click adventure games... a lot. You combine great art, excellent writing and an incredible soundtrack and you get ROM.
Such an unforgettable adventure. Stasis is a gem.
This amazing experience got pushed up to #4 from #8 on December 31st. So awesome. I loved the twist and really enjoyed what this game became after the halfway mark. It is so well done. The writing is fantastic and by the end my opinions had flipped on almost all the characters.
Low for a Souls game but it's still just got that thing that no other games bring to the table. A world to explore that's just so creative and beautiful.
This game is too big for its own good. I've loved what I've played of it so far and I haven't even been to Skellige yet where I imagine this game really turns on. Guess I'll find out next year. Definitely not done with it.
Had so much fun with this game, the mechanics are superb, it's a shame the ending is dreadful and the side stories don't have more substantial and interesting content. Also one of the best looking games of the year. The Batmobile is awesome for the record. Some of the coolest game mechanics and dynamic camera movement ever with how you can shoot out of the Batmobile and have it return to you before you hit the ground. Just so slick.
I'll probably play a lot more Fallout next year.
SOMA is awesome, we need more good horror games. I loved Amnesia but I could have lost all the monsters in this one, they weren't necessary and they actually frustrated me several times because I don't think the mechanics hold up to what it was asking of me. The story was awesome but I don't understand the surprise of it all like most other people had. I actively try not to predict how things might go in games or movies but I saw the ending to this a mile away. It didn't make it bad, it just didn't impact me in the same way.
Rocket League is rad, I wish I played more of it.
