2024 was another loaded year of games even coming off a year like 2023... I built a brand new gaming PC and went Super Ultrawide! My eyes have never been more immersed... I'm fully mersed and the Raymond is Tracing. Now, focus your peepers on my list.

This was my first Stalker game and I was looking for something to scratch that Fallout itch after watching the show this year but what I found was a profoundly more intense and atmospheric game compared to releases from Bethesda. I found Stalker 2 to be almost impossible to put down even though it did everything in it's power to push me away (sometimes intentional like a Bloodsucker to the neck but mostly not due to multiple glitches, bugs, and crashes throughout my playthrough). I struggled with putting it at #1 in light of the issues but my utter fascination with the world of Stalker and knowing that this game delivered despite being developed under extreme duress from the ongoing war in Ukraine is nothing short of a miracle. Good Hunting Stalker.

Holy Moly! I am Astro Bot! The PlayStation love was on full-display and for an old kid like me who has played every one of their consoles, it was a blast from the past. The perfect celebration of the history of PlayStation with my boy Astro.
I'm Batman. I'm sweaty Batman. This game is a workout and boy are my batwings tired. I'll never get tired of pummeling a dude and slapping him with my cape.
I didn't expect to be cackling like an idiot in an Indiana Jones game, but Machine Games made it extremely fun to push a dude down a mine shaft or whip crack every idiot that comes my way. Also, that stupid grin Indy gives every time he picks up his lucky hat has me in shambles. Troy Baker knocked it out of the park, I'm surprised his finger isn't tired from all of the wagging.
I had a blast with the campaign in Black Ops 6, just a dumb, fun, popcorn-flick of an action game. The end left a little to be desired but the gunplay/omni-movement is so fun and it scratches that Max Payne/John Woo itch of shoot-diving all over the place while doves fly in the background.
Balatro is that perfect pocket game, simple to start playing but hard to master. Better than Poker, it's Balatro.
Alan Wake 2 (Night Springs & The Lakehouse) DLC brought equal levels of weird and spooky for me in 2024 and Sam Lake looks like he's having tons of fun now so I'm happy for Remedy and excited for whatever comes next!
A late edition to the list for me, I picked this up and shelved it at launch but coming back during the holidays pushed this up my list. I really respect the shift in perspective this game took going from top-down to third person and the live service support has been interesting to follow.
There is a lot to like in Star Wars: Outlaws but the real stand out for me is Sabacc, nothing like space gambling to get the day started. It was me, I shot first.
