In Progess Sometimes you just want a vast open world to get lost in.
And so the trilogy ends, and what a ride it has been. I didn't care for the non-linear progression as it was difficult to put the timeline in prospective, but for plot reasons I can understand why they it was done this way. The further you went into the game, the harder it was to figure when and where you were. I can't say I was entirely satisfied with how it wrapped up, but again, what a ride it was.
In Progess Sometimes you just want to crawl through a dungeon.
Firmware update bricked my TV. Working on Conquest until support gets back to me. My level ups have been terrible and forward progress has been slow.
Messed around with it one night when I needed a break from Valhalla. PS5 update is out now so looks like I'll have to restart. Plan to spend more time with it after Valhalla is done.
Time for the yearly check in. Got a few more 5 star characters and worked through Book Four.
I had planned to finish this one eventually, but its imminent removal from Game Pass sped up the timeline considerably. Alvastia is not a bad game, but it's not really a good one either. The interactions between the main cast often go on far too long and get far too creepy. You also get 100 characters to fill 9 slots and the vast majority of these characters get no more than a few lines of dialogue. The gacha elements of its mobile game roots are there but don't really do much other than put useful things behind a paywall. The game gives you some currency at the beginning which I used to pull 2 extra characters and some fairly strong weapons that broke a good chunk of the game.
