I don't think its a wild statement to say that Tim Follin is the most talented video game composer of all time. From a purely musical/compositional standpoint there are others whos music I like better for sure, but when you listen to the stuff that Follin was able to achieve on the ZX spectrum, or in the case of PLOK a snes, its mind blowing. In particular, the beach track from PLOK is incredible. Things are so clean sounding, sure the bass is a bit crunchy, but for a snes its unbelievable what was achieved here. Follin is a technical wizard to mastering the limitations of the hardware he had to work. And his music is emblematic that working with limitations can breed creativity.
