Played this on Xbox. Awesome game, sometimes frustrating (but not too much). Great sequel to the last one. Technical issues are for real though.
Just not scratching the Civ itch that I want. It's safe to say I don't want unit customization within my 4x game. Some of the other mechanics are very cool, just not my thing.
A new game that I played during the Zeitgeist! It helped that it's only like 5 hours long, and was available on XBOX Game Pass. The game does feel like you are one over powered all destroying abomination, which was great.
After 20 hours and finally getting to A2's verison of the game I decided to read the wikipedia entry and call it a day. The combat was fun, but I just don't think I'm cut out for games that can be this non-linear, without more significant progression hooks. I never used any items, all of the weapons basically felt the same to me (maybe that's me being bad at the game) but I'm happy to say that I'm done. It was included on gamepass, so no harm there.
I am putting this on here, as eventually I'll stop playing this game. That is just as likely to be another 200 hours from now, but whatever. Animal Crossing is great, prove me wrong!
Another game pass game that Ben and I are playing together. It's fun, and a little bit ridiculous. The engineer in me wants to find the perfect machine for every aspect, but really I should just get good enough and call it a day. Ben loves it though.
Bought this bad boy, and it rocks! I can't believe I haven't played Tony Hawk in forever and it feels so good to be back on it. The game looks incredible, and plays just as awesome as I remember (probably better).
I played this on Xbox Gamepass after hearing about it on several podcasts. Fun game that goes a bit too long on the collectathon portion, but in general I enjoyed it. Definitely makes you think about life/death and the impact you leave on people.
Played this one start to finish on the new XSX, and while the game was fun, it's not a showcase for the hardware. I really prefer the 60Hz modes when playing these kind of games, and being stepped down into 1080p on a console that claims to do 4k@60 is a bit of a disappointment. Getting to play it as part of my game pass is pretty good. Overall I didn't really think characters did much to bring the story to life. Having a night sister join your group, and then being pretty much ignored is a missed opportunity in my opinion. I'm sure there will be a follow up, and I enjoyed this enough to at least give it a shot.
I've been playing this on PC, but really I don't know why. It looks pretty, loads fast, and is something to do while I listen to a podcast (not particularly flattering to the game). The visuals are quite nice, the story line continues nicely but the fact that I need to grind to unlock story beats is a bit of a bummer.
