Games I finished in 2014

These are the games on PC and console that I played through to completion in 2014. In general, I'm referring specifically to the single player component of the game.

Showing 1-8 of 8 items

Final Fantasy XIII

1. Final Fantasy XIII

It took 59 hours to finish it. Ran out of steam after 40 hours or so. I'm running out of patience for grinding. The game still looked pretty damn good though.

The Last of Us

2. The Last of Us

Played through the Single Player DLC. Fun short story. I really hope this game gets re-released on PS4. EDIT: got the PS4 edition now. Will play through again.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition

3. Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition

Loved playing through game with Crusader. Occasionally going back with alts in adventure mode. good game to play while listening to podcasts.

Ryse: Son of Rome

4. Ryse: Son of Rome

Repetitive, but fun. Story was interesting and the game looks amazing. I would definitely love a sequel.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved

5. Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved

Played through the campaign in less than 4 hours. Still have to go back to unlock everything. Fun use of the kinect. got a bit of a shoulder workout with this game.

Sunset Overdrive

6. Sunset Overdrive

I put in about 24 hours into this game, trying to find everything and play through all the missions. I have some collectibles to still get, but it looks like I'll have to do the multiplayer to get enough Overdrive cans to do it. The game is fun enough that I'll go back and do it though. I might even get the single player DLC that will eventually be released.

Fuse

7. Fuse

Frustratingly bland at certain points, with some moments of good action and humor. The bones of a good Insomniac game are here, but unfortunately a generic (but still good looking) art style and underdeveloped characters hold this game back. The levels are also way too long, taking upwards of an hour to finish each one. More, shorter levels would have gone a long way to helping the pacing improve. The Fuse weapons were great though.

Captain America: Super Soldier

8. Captain America: Super Soldier

It plays like a decent Batman: Arkham Asylum clone, though everything feels just a bit too slow. Lots of collectibles to find. It was okay. It's not a game I'd go back too though (especially since I got all 1000 Achievement points).
