Best of 2011

Welp here it is. My choices for the best titles of 2011, sir.

Showing 1-10 of 10 items

Dark Souls

1. Dark Souls

Though not as great as Demon's Souls, still a great title. Kind of feels like a reskinned Demon's Souls without as much heart.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

2. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

HD Version counts, asses. Had a lot of fun with this one even with the constant, and I mean constant problems with Adhoc Party. Fuckin' Sony.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten

3. Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten

The fourth entry in the main series probably delivered the best characters and story since the original.

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland

4. Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland

The first PS3 GUST title I've enjoyed. A really cool experience for me, though kinda short for my first run.

Catherine

5. Catherine

Wakamotoooooooooo. That's all I really need to say about this title.

Xenoblade Chronicles

6. Xenoblade Chronicles

Nintendo of America being slightly less retarded now that they've decided to release this in NA but it's too little too late. Six months to print some discs and make new boxart? Come on Nintendo. Pretty awesome game, though.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

7. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Having only a passive enjoyment for the first Deus Ex, Human Revolution had a lot of elements to make it a rather solid game.

L.A. Noire

8. L.A. Noire

A pretty linear game but a fun ride none the less. Also a bunch of nude dead women.

Gemini Rue

9. Gemini Rue

An interesting tale I must say. Really cool style and a neat little adventure game.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

10. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Eh, okay. I'll put this last. This game has a lot of well-done elements, like the sound direction, the art style and most of the key components. Though it suffers poorly from a lot of overused padding in an attempt to make the game longer and a faux sense of 'epic.'
