Dark Souls II

1. Dark Souls II

PC: Played through the game 1.5 times on PS3, and then another 1.5 times on PC. The PC version is much better but the game still maintains the series best and worst qualities, which still makes for a pretty profound game.

The Wolf Among Us

2. The Wolf Among Us

PC: I know it technically launched in 2013, but only 1/5 of the game was available in 2013, the rest in 2014 so I'm calling it a 2014 game, plus I played the entire thing in 2014. Man, though, this game was pretty great. I had to put it down for a couple weeks after episode 1 but I'm so glad I came back to it and finished before Destiny came out. Great story, beautiful game, and it allowed me to feel like I actually needed to be a dick sometimes, which is rare for me in choice driven games. Absolutely loved it.

Far Cry 4

3. Far Cry 4

PC: Played several hours. Pretty amazing game so far, but doesn't do anything new so far that Far Cry 3 didn't already do for me.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

4. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

PC: Played quite a bit of this. Almost finished, on last few missions.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

5. Dragon Age: Inquisition

PS4: Played almost 100 hours, pretty fun game. At the last mission that tells me there is no turning back so I need to finish up all of the side missions before finishing.

Grand Theft Auto V

6. Grand Theft Auto V

PS4: Still a great game, playing a ton of this.

Destiny

7. Destiny

PS4: Played a ton, started a second character last night. Game is fun to play with other people but if it wasn't for coop I would have been done after a week. Story, character development, and level design are awful. But the core systems are pretty great. Pretty disappointing in those regards, but I can't seem to stop playing regardless, so that says as much about it as anything. Update: (11/25) Man I cannot stop playing this game, the Raid is awesome and the people are better. But it's becoming harder to identify this games strengths vs the awesomeness that is the GB community. The GB community has had a much larger impact on my enjoyment of this game than anything it did on its own. But again, I played around 12 days of this game in 2014 so...

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

8. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

PS4: Played the story campaign. Pretty decent and multiplayer is as good as expected.

Watch Dogs

9. Watch Dogs

PS4: Pretty decent for an open world game. But it wasn't the game changer most of us hoped it would be.

inFamous: Second Son

10. inFamous: Second Son

PS4: Gameplay is fun, graphical quality is on par for what is expected for PS4, but the story is utter garbage.
