teddyB’s Game of the Year 2022

Showing 1-10 of 10 items

God of War Ragnarök

1. God of War Ragnarök

Did not wow me as the first one did, but still an excellent game in every way.

OlliOlli World

2. OlliOlli World

I adore almost everything about this game. From its art style to its challenging gameplay. It kinda gave me the same feelings I had when I was just a kid with my new PS2 and spent all Christmas playing SSX Tricky.

Cult of the Lamb

3. Cult of the Lamb

Fun gameplay and awesome music. Pretty broken on the Switch.

Rogue Legacy 2

4. Rogue Legacy 2

Fantastic rogue like. Fun gameplay and inheritance-mechanics. A gameplay run never felt like a waste of my time.

Sifu

5. Sifu

Tight combat, exhilarating gameplay, stressed me the F out. Fantastic stuff. I want to play more of this.

Elden Ring

6. Elden Ring

I really wished I got to play this more, because I loved the setting and it felt like it could be my kind of FromSoft game. Maybe I’ll give it more time in 2023.

7. Horizon Forbidden West

Wish it did something more gameplay-wise from the first apart from two mechanics that were introduced the game didn’t really catch me in any specific way. The story went balls-out, but not in a good way. The facial animations were really good it this one (amazing compared to zero dawn).

Tinykin

8. Tinykin

Cute 3D platformer. It was fun to discover your way forward. A bit short, which is fine if you’re me but I get that some people want their moneys worth.

Vampire Survivors

9. Vampire Survivors

Did not care for this game for the first 1.5-2h. Something finally clicked and it’s a pretty fun game, especially if you don’t have much time and just want to give it a quick go.

Rollerdrome

10. Rollerdrome

Fun shooting action on wheels. Played way too little of this one but a fun challenge.
