Having no skill whatsoever but enjoying these immensely, here are my top 10 beat-em up games of all time. There are a lot more games that I'd like to add on here but 10 is enough.

Almost considered Project Justice for a second but the original has a better feel to it.
Tough as nails but has one of the tightest and most rewarding fighting systems out there.
This is one of those games I never expected to like, it feels good when playing and the characters on hand are varied and different.
A culmination of the series' legacy, tight yet fluid mechanics and easy for beginners to find their feet. Lots of variety here.
Namco's best iteration of the series, SCII feels great and as a weapon Fighter hasnt been beaten yet. A smorgasbord of warriors to play with each with varied styles and weapons.
It's got Fighters that turn into animals, enough said 😂
The culmination of two powerhouses combined, the might of SNK and Capcom. I don't think anything will get this close when you think of fighting game crossovers although.....
.... talking about bonkers crossovers, this game has it down, owing to some of the most insane and bizarre characters from both Marvel and Capcom, it's fast and frenetic gameplay is hard to master but enjoyable.
Possibly the most beautiful anime fighter ever made. Very intuitive game that has an excellent tutorial and training mode.
One of the more unique Fighters on this list. Basically Capcoms take on mecha Street Fighter and its insanely fun.
