Games completed for 2014

I'm not listing a game that isn't complete, so that is why Broken Age isn't on here.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

1. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

No Brad Shoemaker. This isn't a great game.

Project X Zone

2. Project X Zone

I've had an itch for the longest time to play a super robot wars game. This was finally my first opportunity to play one close to it. I think my issue with the game is that it considered the capcom VS games as canon. It really cheapened a lot of the interactions that happened in this game.

Bravely Default

3. Bravely Default

YES YES YES OMG YES! SQUARESOFT STILL LIVES!

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

4. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

They shot their selves in the foot with the jokey tutorial. They pulled a Matt Hazard. It was hit and miss the entire game. The anti-climatic ending is just what it needed because I was tired of playing it. I WANTED TO LOVE YOU BLOOD DRAGON BUT Y U NO GOOD?

Child of Light

6. Child of Light

I liked playing this on hard mode at first, but then I got burnt out from it. Overall, I liked it.

Transistor

7. Transistor

Of course I was going to play the followup to Bastion. I love the hell out of this game and I'll probably play through it another three times like I did Bastion. It suffers from a lot of comparisons to Bastion that are of its own fault, but it is a very different game.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

8. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

the longer I played this game, the more awful it got. No game should have win conditions that are contingent on a gyroscope.

Shovel Knight

9. Shovel Knight

This is Megaman meets Ducktales with other little video game references included. It is set up in style alone as an 8-bit game and I loved every bit of it. I stormed through it on my Wii U, but I kinda wanna go grab it for my 3ds as well. Go buy it!

Crimson Shroud

10. Crimson Shroud

A very D&D-esque game that essentially doesn't have a level up system. It got pretty unfair towards the end, but I ended up liking it as a whole.

Liberation Maiden

11. Liberation Maiden

The opening of this game was literally the only reason why I bought it. It was the most absurd premise I'd seen this year. I hear this plays similarly to Kid Icarus, which I've avoided since the controls were regarded as bad from my friends. I'll probably honestly give it a go after completing this game.
