Ah yes, good ol' listy-list time! As we pierce the veil into yet another year on this Earth, it seems it's time to look back and think, "Hmm, what did I play that was good enough to share with others and possibly see what they thought?"
And so, that's why this list exists. And as I think back on the year... I can't really remember a damn thing I played. I had to seriously had to Google a list of the releases of 2013 so I could jog the gray matter into recalling what I picked up and played this past year.
This year was filled with great games, and I wish I had the time/money/inclination to play them all! As I skimmed this list of 2013 releases, I thought to myself, "Wow, you sure did miss a lot this year!" And it's true. But, then again, I sure do miss a lot every year. I've come to accept this as an inevitability. It pains me a lot of the time to leave many releases behind but, such is the way of things. I lament it a little, but I go on with my life...
Anyway, enough of that; let's get on in to the meat and potatoes and gravy and peas of this here list.
So, here you go, my favorite games of 2013! *play fanfare now!*

If you've played it, you know why this is #1 on the list.
The ending was mind-warping. Plus, it played and looked fantastic.
Screwing around in a virtual world with superpowers and giving it to alien hoards? Never not fun, every step of the way.
Surprised? Well, you shouldn't be. Sly was just as fun as ever. And yeah, this DID release in 2013... Bonkers, right!
Along with Sly, this harkened back to the good ol' platforming pure fun experiences on the PS2. A bit short, but retained its sense of humor and wacky weaponry.
GTA? GTA. Going back to San Andreas was cool, and the world was crazy big. Character-swapping was new and interesting. Trevor is a maniac.
Metroid, but with luchadores! Much fun to be had!
Okay *technically* not a 2013 release, but it did find its way to consoles this year. Better late than never. Made me remember the good days of Champions of Norrath on PS2...
I like Baird. No really, I do. Oh... come on, don't be like that...
Um... yeah, I do enjoy CoD. Yes, still. And I'm one of those "weirdos" who only plays single-player. Yeah, I know! Guess I'm just plain nuts.
