XCOM: Enemy Unknown

1. XCOM: Enemy Unknown

A great turn-based strategy game. It feel a lot like a table-top miniatures game. Once you understand how to play, Classic Ironman mode is absolutely the way to go as reloading when things go wrong makes the game a little too easy.

The Walking Dead

2. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is as great a piece of interactive storytelling as I've ever experienced.

Dust: An Elysian Tail

3. Dust: An Elysian Tail

An interesting, earnest, and non-cynical story, framed by entertaining gameplay and enjoyable, rhythmic combat. It benefits greatly by the singular vision of it's creator. A beautifully done game that reminded me that commercial games can be created for the sake of creation, not just to make money for the developer and the publisher.

Mass Effect 3

4. Mass Effect 3

Loved the trilogy from beginning to end. My only wish is that EA had waited until the next, non-Shepard Trilogy Mass Effect to introduce multiplayer.

Sleeping Dogs

5. Sleeping Dogs

In a similar fashion to Saints Row the Third, Sleeping Dogs further refines the style of game that Rockstar created.

Far Cry 3

6. Far Cry 3

Let's you do a lot of the things you like about Assassin's Creed games from the first-person perspective.

Halo 4

7. Halo 4

It's Halo, all right!

Trials Evolution

8. Trials Evolution

Really difficult. Really fun. I will never finish it.

Fez

9. Fez

A fun, breezy platformer with a lot of style and a bunch of crazy, deep fiction. Plus secret codes, puzzles and cyphers. I made the conscious choice to not go to the Internet for help, and I have decided I'm just not smart enough to figure this game out on my own.

Spelunky

10. Spelunky

Really difficult. Really fun. I will never finish it.
