I didn't play all that many games in 2019 because every time I get home there's a Discord notification asking me to get on Overwatch to play competitive with my friends, but on those days where that didn't happen, I did play some games

I love JRPGs. I have played maybe more JRPGs than any other medium out there. And this is, without any doubt in my mind, the best story in any of them so far. It has been a joy to experience a story started in 2011 to finally start to begin closure to all the tiny little setups that have been tossed out there over the decade of this game's existence.
The Switch release of this game was this year. Steins;Gate Elite is fantastic.
Tactics games mixed with Persona faffing are great y'all.

Dark Souls with ability and passive mixing and matching to create cool to play builds while fighting strange bosses? Sure, I'll take some more of that.
I like Sekiro a whole lot. I did not, however, like how much I had to use Cheat Engine to tweak how it played when using mouse and keyboard, which would have put it way further up this list.
Combine pinball with JRPG character building and stories and gacha mechanics and you've got me stuck to my phone all day.
Released on PC in 2019, this is a fun game.
Alchemy is dangerous and Ryza is extremely one of those dangerous ones.
