Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

RPG combat isn't really my thing, but everything else (atmosphere, characters, story, etc) is perfect.

Riven: The Sequel to Myst

2. Riven: The Sequel to Myst

One of the most immersive games I've played due to an extremely simple interface, and a detailed world to explore. The puzzles are really fun. There isn't much replay value, but it's so memorable and inspiring that it doesn't matter much.

The Last Express

3. The Last Express

Deus Ex

4. Deus Ex

I've probably spent more time on this game than any other game I've played. I just wish the stealth gameplay was a little more difficult.

Grim Fandango

5. Grim Fandango

I haven't actually played this from beginning to end, but I can say it's AWESOME.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

6. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Challenging and suspenseful stealth.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

7. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Better than/equal to the original. My favorite stealth series, so far (I'm wary of everything after Double Agent).

Penumbra

8. Penumbra

Interesting even disregarding the horror elements.

Dishonored

9. Dishonored

Wonderful artwork. I like the variety of choices you can make, and how the game changes depending on how you play.

Stronghold

10. Stronghold

Quaint castle sim.
