CrazyRah's Best of 2013 - So far!

I've played a few games so far this year and had the time to do a small list of how i liked them. This will be kinda the midway point until the GOTY list is made in December.

The Last of Us

1. The Last of Us

This game is amazing! It was way better than i could have anticipated and even when i bought it a month after release and had heard the praise i didn't think it would be THIS good!

Grand Theft Auto V

2. Grand Theft Auto V

A massive success for Rockstar and an equally massive improvement over GTA IV. The skyscrapers are gone and the grey concrete has been changed to a more natural landscape and just overall nicers enviroment. Some memorable characters and a very improved driving experience made this game a blast to play. The game is by no means perfect and got some flaws. Shooting is still not that good and a few other issues exist.

Tomb Raider

3. Tomb Raider

I really wanted this game to do well and that was what the reboot did for me. I really enjoyed it and i hope for more Tomb Raider games from Crystal Dynamics in the future!

Beyond: Two Souls

4. Beyond: Two Souls

This game went far above and beyond what i ever expected it to do. The general quality of the title is absolutely mindblowing. Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe come with their ace game and it's Ellen Page that throw this title beyond most of the other titles of this year

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

5. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Had far more fun with this title than i had anticipated. It's the naval focus combined with the amazing pirates that make this title just this damn good

Europa Universalis IV

6. Europa Universalis IV

Was a bit hesitant about this title since it would be a quite different experience from Crusader Kings 2 which was the suprise hit of last year. But oh dear didn't i see this one performing this well! It far excelled beyond what i had expected and really keep on getting better by the hour!

Hearthstone

7. Hearthstone

It's the perfect card game for a guy like me with little experience at all. Quick to get into and tons of fun with a lot of varied decks to play with.

BioShock Infinite

8. BioShock Infinite

A very exciting storyline that get elevated by even better character interactions and development. The enviroment is quite something and all of this made the hours put into the game very much worth it.

Saints Row IV

9. Saints Row IV

Wasn't that excited about the superpowers or the whole being president. I feared losing the "gangster" feeling that Saints Row always had. It kinda did but what it compensated with was good enough to make it into a very enjoyable experienced. It's the storyline and the characters that make this game worth playing and a good addition to the franchise

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

10. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

Blizzard deliver another solid RTS that come with a really enjoyable singleplayer campaign with some memorable moments. The expansion add to the already existing and well thoughtout multiplayer experience and take the e-Sports scene to a whole new level. GG Blizzard!
