Great sequel to a mediocre game. While i enjoyed the first AC, the improvements in AC2 make it much more enjoyable. Also, Nolan North and Kristen Bell star in it so it's an intant win! :)
One of the few movie licensed games that can be considered for GOTY. Brutal combat and a storyline that compliments the movie while seamlessly adding a few extra characters from the comics.
Fun 2D shooter that can be replayed countless times and still be lots of fun. Also, Nolan North is in it. :)
Technically a 2008 release but i played in 2009 so it's one of my Best games of 2009 Zombies in space are nothing new but the way they are done here makes it unique and the strong narrative makes it a very memorable game. I can't wait to see what new types of Necromorphs you'll face in Dead Space 2!
I've never been a fan of the Tony Hawk games but Skate 2's unique control scheme brings something new and interesting to the table. I'm still not able to do half the tricks possible in the game but the pick up n' play quality makes it a lot of fun to just skate around the town.

I never played Bethesda's Oblivion but since I did enjoy Fallout 3 for it's post-apocolyptic, "Road Warrior" type setting. So much to explore and characters to meet make it a great game that everyone who loves RPGs should play, it's unfortunate that i only got around to playing it in '09.
A fun third person shooter with lots of tools you can use to cause mass destruction!
It may not seem like much of a game but the simple concept of pressing any button to 'splode makes for a really fun platformer. Oh yeah, "Donuts, Go Nuts Ohhhh Donuts!"
I thought this game was kind of underappritiated in 2009. Like most movie licensed games the story progressions sucks but the gameplay was fun. Curving bullets is cool and the cover-to-cover tranistions make for a great way to sneak up on a dude and stab em in the back.
