Didn't get around to playing Skyward Sword or Skyrim, but if I did they would probably make this list!

Loved practically everything about this game. The puzzles were fun and challenging, the story was incredible, including Wheatley and Glados, and MY GOD THE ENDING.
I don't generally like open world games. In fact, I've played GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Bully, GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption, but I never wanted to continue past the first hour or so of each of them (not sure why I keep buying them, I guess I keep falling victim to the hype machine!). BUT, Saint's Row The Third is the first one I've ever completed and I STILL WANT MORE GODDAMIT!! So funny, so over-the-top and fun. It's like someone took a GTA game and asked me "Hey, what should we do to this game to make you actually like it?"
This game is so unique, you won't find anything even remotely like this out there. Really enjoyed the story, the block puzzles and the 'dating sim' aspects of the game. I also found the choices in the game to be thought provoking, which is rarely the case in games that require me to make choices. There is some clunkyiness in the block puzzle controls, but the game was such a breath of fresh air that I was willing to look past such imperfections.
