January - December 2021 Playing on PS5 Simplistically put, this is a gacha anime Breath of the Wild. This game already hooked me, and I've been playing it almost every night to unwind from work. The exploration is fantastic, I like the characters and story so far, and the combat is very good. If it wasn't a gacha game, I would heartily recommend it to everyone, but b/c of the gambling addiction / poor impulse control aspect of it, I am hesitant to do so. I have spent money on primogems, so I guess I'm part of the problem. Anyway, fantastic game with one big caveat, 4/5. EDIT: This game is taking up all of my gaming time recently. I have finished all the quest content, and I am now farming / grinding for artifacts. Inazuma is going to be lit. Can't wait. Might take a break to finish 13 Sentinels and play some FFXIV when the new patch hits. Update: No breaks! Patch 2.0 brought us Inazuma and more story / exploration content. Great new zone, new enemies, and events so far. Update: The PS5 version has hilarious load times (like 1-2 seconds in most cases). We're on 2.1 so far, and the new islands + Inazuma MSQ conclusion were great. Now the wait till the next zone (Sumeru?) in 6 months...
January, August - December 2021 Played on PS5 Trying to get back into FFXIV to finish the latest 5.4 patch story content and the new Eden raid. Update: Completed 5.4 and 5.5 MSQ, working on finishing 5.55 and both the Eden and Nier raids. New expansion in November! Update: Since getting a PS5, I haven't tried the new version (reports say it's buggy AF), but the load times are significantly lower on the new console. I'm looking forward to the new expansion.
January 2021 Completed on PS4 Pro This game crashed during the end credits, so that probably tells you everything about my experience. Incredible story, great characters, cool side missions, and everything else is a buggy mess. CDPR has promised to rework the game with major patches, and there is a rumored 2.0 version in the works, so I would wait 6 months to a year for that version. Story 5/5 and everything else 3/5 - wait for the 2.0 version.
January 2021 Completed on PS4 Pro I am returning to this game to finish the main story. Still a great AC entry, and the best evolution of the "new" Assassin's Creed formula (starting with Origins). Still a bit buggy, but they have released multiple patches so far to try and fix performance. The latest patch added a Yule festival seasonal event, which was a nice surprise. Recommended 4/5.

July 2021 Played on PC Still in early access, still quite buggy, only Act 1 available, does not include all D&D races / classes, unfinished but still very fun. 4/5 so far for interesting dialogue and story concept.
January, August - September 2021 Completed on PS4 Pro / PS5 I'm about halfway through the story, and I'm finding the game fascinating. It's mixing mecha anime, time travel, slice of life high school anime, kaiju, nanomachines, historical fiction, clones, and aliens(?). I'm committed to finishing the story to 100% at least. The RTS strategy gameplay doesn't really interest me, so it's set to casual. I'll have to suck it up and grind through a bunch of it to unlock story mysteries. I'm looking forward to finishing it. Update: A beautiful game with a confusing story that somehow wraps everything up nicely with a great ending. I look forward to playing whatever Vanillaware makes next. Recommended 5/5
