    Please note this does not apply to games where the sleeves are removed prior to or during use, for example, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, where the prince slowly removes bits of his clothing by tearing them off, or Devil May Cry 3, where Dante's sleeve is mangled by forcing his rapidly-regenerating fist through a sword.

    It was a popular style of dress for "ronin," disgraced or masterless Samurai in Ancient Japan.
