    Formed in New York City by guitarist/singer Chris Spencer with friends from Sarah Lawrence College, Unsane was an incredibly loud, noisy, and intense noise rock band that followed closely in the footsteps of other noise rock bands from New York's East Village. Infamous for their album artwork featuring macabre images (such as a decapitated man on a subway track) and for the uncompromising sound. Unsane's music has been featured in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater ("Committed" off of Occupational Hazard) and True Crime: New York ("D Train" off of Blood Run) Similar to acts such as Helmet, Pussy Galore, TAD, KARP, and Reverb Motherfuckers. Currently signed to Ipecac Records (Mike Patton's label)
