History
The inventor of the Ultra Machine is Gunpei Yokoi, who was assigned to make it in the hopes of equaling the major success of the Ultra Hand, both his first product and Nintendo's first toy. To this end, Yokoi put "Ultra" in the name to remind consumers of the Hand.
Just like its predecessor, the Ultra Machine sold over a million units, and it was one of Nintendo's most popular toys. It received numerous re-releases throughout the '60s and '70s, and like many of Nintendo's ancient inventions, was featured in some of 9-Volt's WarioWare microgames.
