    Overview

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is the third game in Frozenbyte's fantasy RPG-puzzle-platformer series Trine. It is the first game in the series to embrace 3D platforming, alternating between it and the series' traditional 2D format. Originally released for PC and Mac in 2015, it was later made available for the PS4.

The three heroes Pontius the Knight, Zoya the Thief and Amadeus the Knight have been "soul connected" by the eponymous Trine artifact since the first game in the series. They decide to free themselves of their cursed existence, but in the process accidentally shatter the artifact and release a powerful malevolent sorcerer trapped within. Relying on a shard of the Trine, the trio fight to save the world from evil once again.

The game hinges around the distinctive skills of its three protagonists. Pontius is a stalwart warrior in battle who is able to cut down enemies with his sword and block projectiles with his shield. Zoya takes down enemies with her bow and can use a grappling hook to move around levels quickly. Amadeus can summon a number of objects that can be used as platforms, stacking them to reach greater heights.
