Overview
Tokyo Majin Gakuen: Ken Kaze Tobari (東京魔人學園剣風帖) is an adventure game developed by Shout! Design Works for the PlayStation that contains role-playing elements. The game stars a Japanese high school student with supernatural powers that transfers to a new school in Shinjuku, Tokyo. After arriving at the school, he befriends other students that have similar powers and they use their abilities to solve various incidents in their town including a series of bizarre murders. Asmik Ace Entertainment published Tokyo Majin Gakuen in Japan on June 18, 1998. Over time the game became a sleeper hit thanks to gaming magazines like Dengeki PlayStation doing regular features on the game and the title found surprising success with a female audience. A companion fan disc for Tokyo Majin was released in 1999 called Oboro-Kitan which contained bonus stories and other extras. A full sequel called Tokyo Majin Gakuen: Gehoujou was also eventually released in 2002 and the original game was later remade for the Nintendo DS in 2008 under the name Tokyo Majin Gakuen: Kenfuuchou.
