So I think this game is rad and all. Super cool, super exciting, very flashy. Played a ton of the beta but... my play session length has been trending down these last 3 days. I played the campaign once on Tuesday and again on Wednesday probably meaning 2 hours each go and today I put in about an hour before calling it a day. Admittedly I am pretty tired right now and woke up from a nap to play Titanfall (stayed up too late consistently last few weeks rereading the excellent Codex Alera series. Any Jim Butcher Series has this side effect) and I have a full time job but I put more time per day into South Park last week.

I dunno what it is. I don't like Capture the Flag turns out. I don't want to touch Pilot Hunter because it makes the K/D ratio indicative of whether you're a liability or an asset and I don't like that. I think it's super fun running around killing shit but when the match is over the results feel arbitrary and I have no connection to them. Also I don't like how people are skilled enough to point a gun at you from far away and put bullets into you. I can't do that, range isn't my thing speed and movement is. So I choose shotgun and attempt to run towards people who don't see me and away from people who do.

I'm wondering if playing with a party would change that right now which is why I post these thoughts in here. Anyone want to do some partying up tomorrow evening around 7 or 8 central? Maybe cooperation and doing things like strategy would make this feel more structured and meaningful. Gamertag is still TheMasterDS. Add me and I'll add you back no questions asked.
