LMAO!!! Oh man that was intense. Brought me back to when I was making videos in my basement as a kid/teen. On a completely unrelated note, I had ALL of those SW toys too!!! OMG I remember playing with them for hours upon hours on end. Ah good times.

I must be too old to remember the era when companies weren't so damn lazy and actually had the courtesy to write you a letter when you were rejected, as opposed to just ignoring you.  :)

As soon as I opened the story, it started downloading a movie.  Not cool...

I thought the economy was still booming in 1989. At least in Sweden and Japan it was in the early 90's that the land speculation bubble suddenly burst and banks went under. It was in 1992 that the interest rates was at 500 % (only for a couple of days) in Sweden compared to the 0.25 % they are at now. Maybe the economy was uncertain even before that.
