    Great Gameplay but... 0

I've had my eyes on THIEF for quite a long time now, but considering I've been interested in other games I decided to hold myself from buying it, in case something better appeared or I lost interest(which can happen), but a few days ago I decided to give it a go and buy it because despite the negative/mixed reception, It still looked promising. Plus I rarely trust reviewers on youtube, so I still wanted to try it. Now having finished the game, I would like to say that THIEF is the sort of game t...

    Thief Review 0

This game had high expectations from everybody who ever played a Thief game. The developers didn't make a 100% job, but they did a pretty good job in my opinion. And after all the games released this year and last year, for me this is the best game I have played in years. (and believe me I have tried many games)I just love it how it's not focusing on combat, actually it kind of avoids it, and that should be a stealth game's goal. Not like in Dishonored for example, where you can just go shoot ev...

    Money for Nothin' 0

The past couple of years have seen many successful reboots to franchises. Tomb Raider, DmC, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown have managed to raise the already high bar for their respective series while bringing with them the quality and depth their hardcore fans loved. Other reboots, like Splatterhouse or Alone in the Dark, have proven that without the polish, a revitalized franchise is not a guaranteed success. Unfortunately, Eidos’ recently released Thief is another title to add to that list.Thi...

Don't Let Thief Steal Your Money 0

If you're looking for a game that has a few moderate thrills, lots of poorly designed levels, and really bad AI, then Thief is the game for you. Even though the game's name is Thief, don't worry, the story doesn't really revolve around thievery at all. Thief disappointed me greatly in most places, but there were a few times that Thief was pretty good.Let's start off with the gameplay. The stealth in Thief is the best aspect of the game, it works well in most places, in others it might not. One ...

    Thief 0

This is a game I really wanted to enjoy but found myself struggling to the whole way through the game. I am a new thief player and have always enjoyed stealth games and was looking forward to see this reboot of the franchise that started it all. And all this game had me saying was I should really be playing dishonored instead. It felt almost exactly the same in every aspect. This would be fine by me if it they had been released close to each other but dishonored came out over 2 years prior whic...

    Burgled. 0

I was hating it and still kinda do. no manual jumping. having multiple discreet actions contextually squished into one button sucked. the way rope arrows worked sucked. That lights out puzzle in the clockmakers house sucked. the two "boss" fights REALLY sucked. I was lukewarm, then started doing the client and basso jobs and almost started diggin' it. The map sucks major ass. Even near the end of the game I was still struggling to do simple navigation from a to b. Mainly because it shows the wh...

    It's no Dishonored. 0

I don't hate Thief. Let's get that right out of the way. But it's such a weird game for being a seemingly straight forward AAA title.I feel like Thief would've been a better game if Dishonored didn't exist. Not just that Dishonored is better by comparison (because it is), but it feels like Thief and Dishonored had a lot of parallel construction. Once Dishonored was released, well before Thief, it's like the developers just gave up.The levels are pretty linear, particularly when I got to the end...
