@EightBitShik: If you get hit by a Vampire, there's a chance you'll contract a specific disease (the name escapes me at the moment). Simply take a Cure Disease potion, or go to a shrine to cure it before a certain amount of time (a few days) and you'll avoid Vampirism in the future.
@isnipeyoudie: I have gone past that stage where that will cure it. I had no idea I was using wait 24 hours a couple of times to sell all my goods and then boom I was a vampire :(
and thanks other duder for the guide.
@Djratchet: haha! the guy talking in the video Mark Ryan was my friend growing up in high school I lost touch with him over the years when he started working for IGN because well he was always too busy and I live in Texas. I had him on live for a while but he was in active for 150 days so I just removed him. How funny.
(I know his last name is Sallee btw but he goes by Mark Ryan for his first name :P)
I don't know if that video mentions it, but you can also just do the Companion quest line.@isnipeyoudie: I have gone past that stage where that will cure it. I had no idea I was using wait 24 hours a couple of times to sell all my goods and then boom I was a vampire :(

Quicker way to sell goods:
- Sell your stuff
- Save
- Murder the vendor
- Reload. The vendor will have new stock and his cash will reset.
@Djratchet: Yeah, he went to Digipen and I was going to move up to Seattle to be his roommate when he told me he was heading to San Fran to work for IGN at the time I met a girl who would later be my wife so I didn't move to San Fran... now I am divorced and I wished I did haha.
@heavyplay: Waiting 24 hours seems quicker then that at least lazier the only thing was I didn't know I was bit I still don't know how I was supposed to know I was bit.

Porphyric Hemophaelia.
BOOM, 1200 hrs in Oblivion and some things you'll just never get out of your brain.
Unfortunatly for you, the disease is called Sanguinare Vampiris in Skyrim. BOOM.

NO!! I'VE WASTED 1200 HOURS OF MY LIFE. Now I wish I'd gone to see Pop Pop for his last few hours instead. O alas!
@oobs: Yeah, when that happened I was past that point. I just wish there was something more on the screen that said "Hey mother fucker you are turning into a vampire". Something a long the lines of sparkling in the sun light and having a GF with zero personality. I turned into a werewolf instead so from what I read I don't have to worry about it again.
I am sad though because I just failed a quest because I progressed the story :(. I'll have to make sure I do the side stuff before doing more story I wanted to know what happened with that quest.
@SSully: Yeah I had the same problem. Which is weird because I swear I talked to that guy like 3 times before I went off looking for one but oh well.
@BigChickenDinner: You lost me.

It's another name in Skyrim, which I find really dissapointing. Something like "vampiris" I think.

Sanguinare Vampiris. I know, I was disappointed too. Seems to make even less sense since Sanguine is supposed to be the Daedric prince of debauchery. Maybe they're poking fun at Twilight.
