An Aztec goddess of the agave plant, which was used among other things to make an alcoholic beverage called pulque. Mayahuel was also honored as a fertility goddess.
The feathered-serpent god of the Aztecs and greater Mesoamerica. An important deity, he had a hand in the creation of humans, played a role as the Sun, and was the patron god of priests.
A personification of the chaotic energies of creation in Aztec mythology. Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca ripped her apart to create the sky and earth from her remains.
