For Backlog 365 I plan on playing one game on my backlog everyday this year and write about it. For each game I will decide if I want to put it on my "Shelved" list (games that I plan to come back to and play in depth) or put it on the "Retired" list (games that I will delete or sell and move on with my life).

I played Talisman: Prologue a while back and really enjoyed it. The Prologue version of the game was just a solo variant which was a good time, but didn't really have a whole lot of replay. I was excited to see the full game in action. I never played a whole lot of Talisman, the physical version, but did play it a handful of times and have fond memories. I always thought Talisman was pretty much Monopoly for board game geeks.

I think my original assessment of Talisman was right. I really do like the game. The digital version hold up pretty well, but really wish I had the physical version. Talisman doesn't have deep strategy, but it has some story. It is the kind of game that I really think I can get my wife into. Which is my plan. I'm going to play the digital version with her, see if see likes it, and if it's a go then get the physical version to add to the collection.

Going through your blog, and I wanted to say that this is an amazing task. I've started looking into cataloguing my back-catalog because of you.

The digital version of Talisman is much better than the game in my opinion. Setting up the game is such a chore. There's so many decks and items and all of it is pretty pointless as the game is random. The PC version obviously takes the setup out of it and makes turns quick and fun.

Talisman is a fun, relatively-mindless 30-45 minute game as the PC provides. When you play it physically it can go on for a couple of hours, so it's not really worth the slog (and the price).
