    Overview

Supipara is an episodic visual novel that was developed by Minori about the comedic life of a young man that returns to his hometown after being away for seven years. The first chapter of Supipara was published in Japan in May of 2012 and Minori planned to release four other chapters but, due to the game's low sales, they were never created.

However in 2014 Minori teamed up with English localization company MangaGamer to start a fund-raising project to not only release chapter one of Supipara in English but to also fund the development of the rest of the series. The way the project worked was that part of the sales from *Eden, another title by Minori that was released in the West by MangaGamer, would go towards funding the localization for chapter one of Supipara. Then, once the first chapter was funded and released, the sales of the English version of Supipara would go towards funding the creation/translation of the remaining four chapters in the series. In July of 2015 MangaGamer announced that Supipara's first chapter was fully funded and it was released on Steam a year later on July 29, 2016. Eventually Chapter 2 was also funded in 2017 and was released on April 12, 2018.
