Final Fantasy was the first entry in the now widely recognized Final Fantasy franchise, originally developed on the NES by Square (now Square-Enix).
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the second entry in the ground-breaking Zelda franchise. This controversial follow-up ditches the original's top-down perspective for 2D side-scrolling exploration and combat. The 2D towns, dungeons and combat arenas are tied together by a top-down overworld.
Designed by Yoshio Kiya and released by Nihon Falcom in 1983, this was possibly the first action RPG. It introduced real-time combat, sci-fi elements, a persistent open world with day-night cycle, and survival mechanics. This was a precursor to Falcom's seminal action RPG franchise, Dragon Slayer.
The first of the two games featuring Xeen, which can be combined with each other to create World of Xeen. In this, the fourth installment in the Might and Magic series, player characters explore the surface of Xeen, as well as high above it, to recover an other-worldly scepter.
The universe is in disarray as the gods of the elements clash like children. Mankind suffers from constant peril as natural disasters run rampant from the elements not being kept in checked. As the gods' egos are challenged amongst them, a tournament breaks out to any and all challengers. The victor will get their dreams' deepest wish to become a reality.
A prequel to the grid-based, dungeon crawler RPG Vaporum.
Gather explore a pixel art world in this upcoming turn-based CRPG.
